A: For wedding & special events: Event will be considered booked with a signed contract and a 50% deposit of the total invoice. This is required as soon as possible to confirm the reservation. Deposit is non-refundable.
A: We accept cash, checks, credit cards or Zelle transfers. But will also accept Venmo and Cashapp.

A: For weddings & special events, a estimated guest count, not subject to reduction, is due 30 days prior to the event date. Final head count is due one week prior to the event so we can prepare accordingly. We will apply the changes to your catering contract.
A: Everything will be line itemized on your proposal and invoice. Applicable taxes will be applied to each event order. There will also be a delivery fee and setup/ breakdown fee added to the total of the bill. Tips (gratuity) to the staff are solely at your discretion.
A: Should it become necessary to cancel your event and terminate the contract, all prepayments and deposits are non-refundable. However, if, due to emergency (including COVID related issues) the client wishes to reschedule the event, the deposit and payments made to date are transferable. As long as the location and date are agreeable to JT's Custom Catering and the client, we will be pleased to honor these arrangements. All costs are subject to change.
A: Yes! Our tastings are usually scheduled after the consultation and proposal has been received. We prepare the menu you’ll (hopefully!) be serving at your event. Usually the most challenging part is finding a date that fits within everyone’s schedules! We try to schedule our tastings Thursday through Saturday. We do not schedule tastings Sunday through Wednesday. We do not offer tastings of appetizers, salads or fruits. You will share one full portion meal of your choice. We do charge $150 for each tasting for up to 6 guests. Our tastings are for the couple and 4 additional guests. This price could fluctuate depending on the menu items requested. If you end up booking with JT's Custom Catering, the same day as the tasting the fee is waived. And you will only be required to pay the deposit for booking. As a catering company, we’re a little different than a restaurant. We don’t have a set menu we prep and prepare everyday. So our tastings are completely customized and prepared just for you!
Please note that the tasting must be paid in cash, Venmo, CashApp or Zelle in advance. We do not accept credit cards for tasting fee.
A: If you know your event date, we always recommend you reserve your date as soon as possible. Once you have signed your contract and paid the initial deposit, your date is locked in and on our calendar. Weekends during “wedding season” can fill up quickly. Corporate lead times are much shorter. Most times, we can accommodate smaller corporate requests, such as lunches, in a matter of days.
A: Yes, we have a wide variety of vegetarian, gluten-free, allergy-sensitive and other special needs menu items. When planning your event, we will discuss your dietary needs and will suggest a menu that will be suitable for you and your guests.
A: Yes. JT's Custom Catering can provide servers , busers & bartenders for your event for $35-$40 per hour, per employee. All staff require a 4 hour minimum. Our servers have their Texas Food Handler Certificates, and our bartenders are TABC certified as required by state law. JT's servers will setup and breakdown the event, maintain food and beverage areas to ensure cleanliness and will bus tables. Our staff is also responsible for cleaning their work area and following the rules of the venue.
A: Our servers and bartenders wear black pants, black, long sleeve, button-down collared shirts, black shoes
A: No, if JT's Custom Catering servers are working your event, they will be happy to cut the wedding cake. If you did not hire servers or busers a fee of $50 will be applied to your contract and the buffet staff can cut your cake.
A: Yes, if you plan to provide alcohol for your event, JT's Custom Catering can provide bartenders. The charge for bartenders is $40 per hour, per bartender. The client is responsible for delivering alcohol to the venue.
A: Yes, we have all licenses, permits and insurances that are required to prepare and serve food and beverages. We can provide you and/or your event space or company with a copy of these if needed.
A: We work with local rental companies for items like tables, chairs, linens, china, glassware and flatware. We can make recommendations for items and quantities needed based on your event.
A: Definitely! We are here to serve you, and want to create a menu that suits you best. You can add beverages, equipment and staff. The factors that affect the price of an event include the number and kind of menu choices, number of guests, length of the event as well as number of servers required. Our goal is to give you the fairest price based on your specific needs.
